Holistic Hong Kong Ad Rates

Holistic HK is a resource and platform for news, info, events, inspiration and comments of Hong Kong's growing holistic community.
The reception our e-magazine has received has been very positive. In April 2003, HK Magazine described it as "excellent and comprehensive". Our regular readership is around 10,000 pageviews per month. These people are the target group of the holistic world of HK, active in, motivated and educated in green, health and spiritual issues. Every first of the month, the magazine is renewed with new features and content. Every issue is archived and available for later use. Increasingly, Holistic HK is used by other media, especially the listings columns for other papers, so your advertisement here goes further than Holistic HK readership. Holistic HK is also campaigning for better Hong Kong with regular columns on topics such as globalization and ecological restoration.
The motivation for creating Holistic HK came after the New Age News magazine closed down some 7 years ago. I have loved editing the magazine and I wanted to continue in that work. Rather than being sponsored by a single shop, though, we are a vehicle for all centres and shops to promote their services and products.

Service Directory ads
- Free listings: no descriptions, simply name, and contact details. Please sign up to an existing category.
- $50 for 100 words: ($1 a word thereafter) with a minimum of 3 issues.
- $100 includes a photo – low res
Since the re-design of our website in August 2007, the directory is now one of its most visited parts.
Upcoming Events
$200 for 1 event, $300 for 2, $400 for 3. Maximum number of words is 200 (add $1 for every additional word). The Upcoming Events is the most popularly read part of Holistic HK and is easily accessible from the front page.
Classifieds
For non-date specific announcements. $100 for 200 words and thereafter $1 a word. Good for promoting products.
HK Visitors
$100 for 200 words and thereafter $1 a word. Please send a photo (low resolution, please) as well. Must be Hong Kong non-residents.
HK Residents
For the residents who live in Hong Kong and offer regular services. $100 for 200 words and thereafter $1 a word. Please send a photo (low res, please) as well.

Left hand column ad is displayed on all pages and thus represents a very good value.
All banners are subject to availability.
The format of the finals: preferably .jpg file; .gif is fine too.
In case of animated banners, we ask for maximum of 3 images (slides) in one banner. Please note that we may ask advertisers to change their display ad (static or animated) if it is too ‘busy’ or if it conflicts with our existing design. This happens very rarely, however.
Holistic Asia
Currently we have a section within HHK called Holistic Asia. Within a few months, our new sister site, Holistic Asia will be launched. This will exist alongside Holistic HK and will cover our region from India to Bali and all the spiritual and health activities. If you advertise your event with HHK and it is taking place somewhere else in Asia, it will be displayed in our calendar under a separate category and we will also mention it in the Asia Events category for free.
Cut Off Dates
All the above prices are per month and in Hong Kong dollars. As the content is renewed every first of the month, advertisers are advised to send their entries in by the second half of the month before the month of the event.
Submit Formats
Please send your listings with all your contact details at the end, i.e. email, telephone number, address (if needed) and webpage address. For events always include start time, end time, date, and cost.
Discounts
Long term advertisements: 6 months receives a 10% discount. 12 months a 20% discount.
Further Publicity
Holistic HK is used by other magazines and media so your advert goes further than the readership of the e-magazine. For instance, the magazine Asiaspa quotes Holistic HK as a source for their calendar.
