I would be most grateful if you could assist me with my following query. I am to arrange the hire of 4 massage tables for 2 days (August 14th and 15th, 2008) for a training seminar on Ultrasound in our offices in Langham Place,, Mongkok.
Do you know of any retailers / institutions that hire out massage tables?

With so many challenging problems in the world, creating a life in harmony with nature can be pretty overwhelming. The solution is to take small steps to create a better world. ‘Small steps’ is also the name of the latest product from the Upasana Design Studio in India.

We featured them in PNHK8 with their Tsunamika doll, where they employed 180 tsunami-affected fisherwomen to create the dolls out of scrap rags to be given away on a gift economy basis, trusting that enough money would come in to pay the workers. It did and continues today.
Now the team are tackling the plastic problem with their new little bag called ‘Small Steps’. India’s problem of plastics is clear, as any recent visitor to the country can testify; everyday millions of plastic bags are dumped on the streets. The solution that Upasana came up with is to always carry a shopping bag. As befits eco-fashion designers, they’ve designed a stylish little bag which you can easily slip into you pocket. A snap-hook/caribinier click also allows you to attach it to your belt. Small Steps is available in back-pack and side carry bag versions.
The vision is to make 10 million bags, by hand, creating 1,000 jobs for 1,000 people for 1,000 days.
Once again, the project is run on a gift economy basis helping us all to create a world where we support good projects. In other words, this isn’t a project where you just buy a bag; rather, you sponsor not just the employment of the women making bags but also sustainable education in local schools. By buying one bag at an estimated campaign cost of 150 rupees, you ensure another bag is given to local children, creating a virtuous cycle.
What can a little bag do?
* Every bag can effectively prevent dumping of 200 throw-away plastic bags.
* Every bag can provide a meaningful job to women who are empowering themselves.
* Every bag can educate a whole family about environmental issues.
