Q & A

Q:

Hi Peter

I have a good friend, and am also a client of, a New Zealander who is a hellerworker. He is quite interested in bring his practice to Hong Kong. I have been doing some research for him on places who host visiting practitioners. I went into the New Age Shop yesterday and was wondering if there are any other places I could contact on his behalf who would have the facilities to sponsor him on a short-term basis. Any assistance you could provide would be most appreciated.

Regards,
Emily J. Hoaglin

Tibetan Language Classes PDF Print E-mail
Q: Dear Peter,

I've been looking for a Tibetan language teacher in HongKong, but I have no clue where to find one. Do you manage such learning courses? Or may you pls give me some advice on this?

Thank you so much!

Best regards,
Tori

A: Hi Tori

I contacted a friend who sent me this email:

She might try that Kagyu centre in Kennedy Town (I can't remember the name but I think you know which one). There's also the Kagyu centre on Wood Rd, I believe. It's a big centre and I know they used to teach Tibetan classes. It is indeed very difficult to find Tibetan teachers here. She could also try the Buddhist studies programme at HKU. I've heard that they let people audit classes for free and they do teach Tibetan language.

I hope that helps, let me know if you need more info.

Thanks,

Peter

Tori: From Kagyu Centre's website, I find there is a Basic Tibetan Course (10-lessons).
