| We live in a rapidly changing world that is transforming before our very eyes. Humanity is now being challenged as never before to grow in wisdom, maturity, and understanding. A plethora of deep and pressing concerns is calling for our immediate attention, concerns and action. These include the many different manifestations of the Earth's environmental degradation; the glaring and increasing disparity between rich and poor; the social break down and alienation; couple this with our finite resources being used a unsustainable rates, and the wars and political maneuvering to secure earth’s last energy and other resources.
GEN believes the most promising and effective way to deal with all these issues is through dynamic education –a new kind of global education, specifically designed to meet the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
