Q & A

Mr Lloyd,

I would be most grateful if you could assist me with my following query. I am to arrange the hire of 4 massage tables for 2 days (August 14th and 15th, 2008) for a training seminar on Ultrasound in our offices in Langham Place,, Mongkok.

Do you know of any retailers / institutions that hire out massage tables?

I appreciate your assistance in this matter.

Kind Regards,

Jacqueline

A Glimpse of Reality

Richard McCannHow often do we confuse the story of our life with who it is that we are.

And how often do we use this story as the excuse to avoid living.

The story of Richard's first thirty years is about as tragic as it gets but then something quite subtle and quite extraordinary appeared to have happened.

Perhaps it's the beginning of a quite profound understanding of himself, far beyond the normal 'find out who you are and live an extraordinary life' understanding that the mind seems pre-disposed to search for.

Starring Richard McCann.

How Should Spiritual Leaders Share Their Knowledge With the World?

His Holiness the Seventeenth KarmapaTibetan Buddhist leader His Holiness the Seventeenth Gyalwang Karmapa suggests that spiritual leaders should connect to the general public, not just their own groups of students. But this connection is not like distribution in a business sense. Rather, transmission of spiritual power happens through conscious, positive human relationships formed with the intention of benefiting the human family.

Organic Certification Standards Baffle Consumers

Narelle CheneryWith so many foods and personal care products on the market claiming to be organic, consumers trying to differentiate between standards are left confused and disillusioned. Narelle Chenery is visiting Hong Kong, as part of her Asian tour to help consumers make informed decisions when buying organic personal care products.

Narelle Chenery says “the average consumer is confused by various organic claims and doesn't realise there are different standards. Some products that claim to be organic still contain harmful ingredients.”

Greening the Olympics, Greening the Earth

Greening the Olympicsby Paul Coleman

An ancient saying states that ‘Every great journey begins with a single step’. On September 22nd 2007 my wife Konomi and I took that first step when we began the ‘Greening the Earth, Greening the Olympics Walk’ from Hong Kong to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. China won the Olympics on the premise that the games would be ‘green’ and we had been invited to help them achieve this.

Call to Action for Youth Environmentalists

Climate ChangeStudents who care for the environment have been given an opportunity to act on their sentiments through two exciting tasks under the British Council Climate Cool Project. The first, conducted in conjunction with the Hong Kong SAR Government's Science in the Public Service Campaign's project competition, is entitled "Climate Change - What can we do?", and seeks a student team to represent Hong Kong at a youth forum to be held on the fringes of the G8 Summit in Japan in summer.

HK Dumping Old Bad Habit

Give it or sell itSell it or donate it, but don’t dump it into the nearest rubbish bin – the Lunar New Year-end mantra of the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) appears to have been heard by at least some members of the public. According to the EPD, more than 500 reusable items were uploaded to its online Secondhand Exchange Platform during the Lunar New Year-end period. The department had also received many enquiries from the public about what to do with items they no longer wanted.

Energy Is a Many Splendored Thing

Energy Is a Many Splendored Thingby Jacqueline Muller

..as I was to discover on my first trip to Egypt at the end of 2003.

In fact, I decided to go to Egypt as an 'escape' from deep heartache, discombobulation and other lack of understanding of what was happening in my life that had seemed so well organized and quite satisfactory! Little did I know that the energies in Egypt were to be a huge catalyst and the beginning of a path not envisaged before!
